Air Astana will launch direct scheduled flights
from Astana to Phuket, Thailand’s largest resort island on 26th
October 2024.
Scheduled to take off on 26 October 2024, the airline will operate the
Astana – Phuket service with three flights per week in addition
to the existing Almaty (ALA) – Phuket service, which
currently operates five times a week and will go daily on 26
October 2024.

The new service from Nursultan Nazarbayev
International Airport (NQZ) in Astana will operate on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with departure at 21:40 and
arrival in Phuket (HKT) at 07:45 next day.
The flight from
Phuket is slated to depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 09:30, arriving in
Astana at 16:10.
The flight duration is approximately 8 hours 5
minutes outbound to Phuket and 8 hours 40 minutes to Astana.
All Phuket flights will be operated with Airbus
A321LR aircraft configured with 16 business class seats and 150
economy class seats.
Air Astana Signs Codeshare Agreement with Japan
Airlines
Air Astana has signed a codeshare agreement with
Japan Airlines (JAL) that will
allow both airlines to place their respective codes on a new
Almaty to Tokyo service scheduled to be launched in the spring of
2026.
“We are delighted to enter into cooperation with such a
distinguished partner as Air Astana,” said Mitsuko Tottori, CEO, Japan
Airlines Group. “We will contribute to further
enhancement of over 30 years of diplomatic relationship between
Japan and Kazakhstan, through developing passenger and cargo
traffic.”
More details about routes and schedules are
expected to be unveiled following the integration of both airlines’ scheduling
and ticketing systems.

seamless travel experience for passengers between Kazakhstan and
Japan.”
