Aly Michalka believes in the magic of motherhood.
The Aly & AJ musician welcomed son Jack Francis with husband Stephen Ringer in April, and she is loving everything this latest chapter has brought into her life.
“It’s really special,” Aly exclusively told E! News in a joint interview with sister AJ Michalka at Heidi Klum‘s 23rd Annual Halloween Party presented by Butterfinger, Mattel, and Prime Video at Hard Rock Hotel New York on Oct. 31. “It’s really magical. We’re loving it.”
And the 35-year-old is especially grateful for how her 4-month-old son helped her focus “on the things that are actually important.”
“We can really busy ourselves with things that we just don’t need to do in our day,” Aly explained, “and motherhood just makes you zone on the things that really actually matter and are actually really important.”
She continued, “I think that’s been good for my mental health.”
