Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing Rayo Vallecano defender Andrei Ratiu as a potential replacement for their current right-back, Pedro Porro.
The North London club is said to be growing increasingly concerned about the future of Porro, with rumors swirling of interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Manchester City.
The La Liga champions are reportedly considering the former Sporting Lisbon player as a backup option if they fail to lure Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, while City view Porro as a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
With the 25-year-old Spaniard’s future up in the air, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is wisely keeping his options open. Enter Andrei Ratiu, the young Romanian defender who has been turning heads with his impressive performances for Rayo Vallecano since joining the club in 2023.
According to reports from Fichajes.net, Ratiu has a €25 million release clause in his contract, and Rayo could be willing to accept a lower fee if Tottenham act quickly. Losing the talented 24-year-old would undoubtedly be a blow for the Madrid-based club, but it could also provide them with the funds to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
